At the center of this novel is an almost unspeakable act of horror and heroism: a woman brutally kills her infant daughter rather than allow her to be enslaved. The woman is Sethe, and the novel traces her journey from slavery to freedom during and immediately following the Civil War.

Summer News

Dear Parents,

We are looking forward to having a great year for our PTA. We need for the parents to get involved this year! We are open to and value your ideas, issues or concerns that you as parents might have at the meetings. The PTA meetings are also a way to get helpful information on upcoming events and things that will be going on during the entire school year. We also need parents to volunteer their time at school events, functions and on committees. So let's get involved this year and attend the PTA meetings that will be held once a month. IT'S FOR THE KIDS!

The PTA Executive Board can be contacted directly through the website.
